TIMTOS, one of the world's leading smart manufacturing and machine tool expos, will take place from 3 to 8 March 2025, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 and 2, and Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 in Taiwan. The show will feature over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 6,100 booths, solidifying the show’s status as a globally recognised smart manufacturing and machine tool show.
TIMTOS 2025 will showcase pioneering advancements in digital manufacturing, automation, and integrated AI and robotics solutions, driving innovation in multiple sectors beyond traditional machine tools.
With the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) set to take effect in 2026 and Taiwan’s enactment of the Climate Change Response Act, which introduced carbon fees in 2024, achieving ‘net zero’ emissions has become an urgent priority for industries worldwide. For the machine tool sector, which is deeply intertwined with manufacturing, 2025 marks a pivotal year for ‘net zero’ goals.
Riding the global wave of ESG initiatives,
TIMTOS 2025 is set to guide manufacturers toward a more Efficient (E), Smarter (S), and Greener (G) future. Through the “ESG Action!” series — featuring Keynote and Forum, Dr Net Zero carbon consulting, Smart Manufacturing Guided Tours, and the Manufacturers Win Podcast — industry leaders from Taiwan and further afield will explore the trends shaping the future of smart manufacturing, creating a platform for global collaboration and innovation.
As the first highlight of the “ESG Action!” series,
TIMTOS will welcome Akihiro Teramachi, chairman and CEO of Japan’s THK Group as one of the keynote speakers. He will discuss the challenges and opportunities for global manufacturing in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Techman Robot CEO Haw Chen will then share insights on integrating AI with automation solutions. The keynote will be held on 4 March at 10am in Room 101 of the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), offering unparalleled opportunities for knowledge exchange within the machine tool industry.

With the rising urgency for net-zero emissions, machine tool manufacturers and their supply chains face a pressing challenge to enhance carbon resilience. At TWTC Exhibition Hall 1,
TIMTOS will provide the ‘Dr Net Zero’ carbon consulting service, where experts from the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) will offer one-to-one professional guidance. Participants will gain comprehensive insights into global and local energy-saving and carbon-reduction policies, including CBAM compliance and calculation methods.
The consultations will also highlight international brands’ sustainability requirements for their supply chains, encouraging manufacturers to adopt energy-efficient technologies, innovate products, and establish scientific carbon management strategies. By integrating AI and automation, manufacturers can achieve smart, sustainable production, enhance market competitiveness, and position themselves as leaders in the era of carbon valuation.
The ‘Manufacturers Win Podcast’ will bring together global experts and industry leaders to discuss manufacturing’s future under the ESG framework, focusing on the transformative benefits of smart manufacturing. In addition, ‘Smart Manufacturing Guided Tours’ will enable visitors to take a ‘deep dive’ into the latest technologies and innovations in the machine tool sector. From material selection to smart production processes, the tours will showcase how each step achieves low-carbon, high-efficiency, and sustainability, illustrating the value of green transformation and the appeal of smart manufacturing.
TIMTOS 2025 will also showcase further themes such as ‘AI & Robotics’, ‘Future Smart Manufacturing’, and ‘Green Power and Sustainability’, under the core vision of ‘Integrate to Innovate’. The exhibition will lead global participants into five key application areas: semiconductors, electric vehicles, medical, aerospace, and renewable energy. With over 1,000 leading exhibitors from around the world,
TIMTOS will showcase Taiwan’s integration and innovation capabilities in smart manufacturing. By bridging ESG and smart manufacturing,
TIMTOS 2025 will inject fresh momentum into the machine tool industry’s sustainable transformation.
