Visitor numbers up 30% on the Hurco stand at MACH 2022High Wycombe-based Hurco Europe Ltd has revealed that MACH 2022 proved to be an outstanding show for the company, in terms of visitor numbers, out-performing even its highest expectations. The company exhibited a range of machines on its largest-ever stand at 300m2.

Hurco also chose the event to unveil a move into the high-performance turning centre market, debutting the new Hurco TMX8MYSi, part of a new range of four machines that include turning centres with, or without a sub-spindle. There are two size options available, either an A2-6, 25kW or an A2-8, 28kW primary spindle. All machines incorporate a Y axis and a Duplomatic turret with 12 radial driven-tool stations. These new models allow a greater number of more complex operations to be performed on a turned part in ‘one hit’ and even gear-hobbing and polygon turning are possible.

Meanwhile, the Hurco BX60i bridge-style CNC mill proved popular, as did the VMX42SRTi super-versatile five-axis machining centre. The latest version of this model now features direct-drive torque motors on both B and C axes for smoother and more responsive motion.

Automation was a major theme throughout the show and Hurco was able to showcase two of its most popular solutions. The plug-and-play ProCobot Profeeder was on show feeding a VM20i, three-axis machining centre. Visitors were shown how to programme their own message on an engraved component, then to get the robot to feed and unload the component once completed.

Also, working live on the stand, was an Erowa Robot Compact 80 integrated with a VMX30Ui for one-off, five-axis component automation of up to 48 pallets.
